Founded in 1956 with the first assembly member and to the current 10th assembly! It has grown to be the nation’s largest metropolitan assembly with 142 parliamentary seats and it is fulfilling the roles of observance and containment of enforcement agency as a representative body who speak for the residents!


For residents’ better life and improvements in social welfare, welfare-oriented ordinances are established, amended and revocated!

Also, Through Audit and inspection of administrative affairs, thorough investigation and containment is carried out to check if administrative affairs are enforced lawfully and rationally!

Gyeonggido Assembly who reviews, deliberates and confirms the necessity and relevance of the budget whish was prepared with residents’ tax!

By considering residents’ difficulties, handling residents’ petitions for protection of residents’ rights and interests, we have become the reliable companion of residents of Gyeonggi Province.

The 10th Gyeonggido Assembly which was officially opened on July 10th 2018, is formed of 142 Province assembly members with Song, Han-jun chairman, Kim, Won-ki vice chairman and An, Hye-young vice chairwoman at the center.

We want to make ‘people oriented, welfare-oriented and being a real assembly’.

Assembly members who represent 31 cities and counties of Gyeonggi Province is organized into 12 standing committees and 2 special committees

and through professional research and examination, right direction for provincial government operation will be proposed!

For this, the 10th Gyeonggido Assembly will be ‘the assembly of basics and principle’! ‘Residents serving assembly’!, and ‘communicating interacting assembly’!.

We will set ‘Assembly that gives strength to my life’ as basic principle and put in every effort to make a beautiful assembly!

Trusted assembly will be implemented with efforts to fulfill public pledges which hold local pending issues.

Policies necessary to support people with social weak, respect diversity and live together, will be developed.

Beyond governance, a future with coexistence will opened for residents’ safety and welfare stability.

To improve residents’ happiness index, Gyeonggi Province with strong culture and art will be created.

And by strengthening public education, new Gyeonggi education will be created with ‘education worthy education’.

In order for nation’s local assemblys to develop together, the assembly will lead the autonomous decentralization.

The 10th Gyeonggido Assembly will gather and resolve opinions about policy proposals, local pending issues and any living inconveniences promptly!

Also, to inform Gyeonggi Province to countries of the world, friendship assembly alliance between 7 cities arund the world, have been formed and keeping up with the pace as global partners!

Gyeonggi Province is the front line for Korea’s security and they are preparing for time of unification by contributing in Inter-Korean cooperation fund.


The 10th Gyeonggido Assembly knows the area very well and is the filed expert who makes residents happy, as well as being the regional expert.
